Krosban Description
::When sun does set in the west
::World begins to quiver
::When moon does cast shadow eerie
::Children cry out in fear
::When long does darkness come at last
::Terror is wide as the river.

I heard this poem once when I was young. In Orcish society we are taught to be strong and cast aside our fears. Despite what we are taught some never get over being afraid of the coming night, or the black shadows in the corner of a room. There are some who claim that their heritage lets them see through that night, and in the dark there is nothing to fear. Yet from a bard I heard of a place where the light can never pierce. A place in which those blessed with eyes that see in the deepest of night, are rendered blind. Even deep-kin, those who see in the dark, feel fear in the night of Pforthrull. What can induce such a panic? One god is all it takes. I have seen his symbol when the moons cross the sun and make day to night, the black orb, the eye of terror and fear, King of Shadow Telraedye.

Portfolio
Many things throughout the ages have stirred fear in the hearts of mortals. Monsters terrorize settlements, bandits stalk the roadways, and cruel despots rule kingdoms. The hardened adventurer and greatest hero will not even balk at these. Yet at the days end when they set camp, they light fires and hold watch around the flame, praying the sun will come soon. They are warding off the darkness, for unlike their physical woes, this very real terror surrounding them is filled with the unknown. They fear the shadows.

Telraedye controls the darkness and his presence is found in the shadows. He is always a part of every person in the world. The darkness that drifts in their hearts is within his domain. When chills run down your spine and fear grasps at your heart, the god of Shadows is gracing you with his presence. His control extends into the realms of subterfuge and clandestine activities.

Followers
Followers of the god of Shadows, known as Shadowborn are often met with distain. They are viewed as blasphemers and charlatans. They can be found in virtually any temple, seeking to gather followers through simple argument with opposing officials. A gathering was once observed where two clerics of Estridae where preaching of the power of light. A cleric of Telraedye soon joined in on the conversation.

::“The power of the light gives hope; heals those in need.” Taught the first Cleric of Estridae.
::“The power of the light gathers for the betterment of all. It weeds out cruelty and banishes the shadow!” Affirmed the second Cleric
::“The power of the light… Hides your dark side behind you, and sometimes beneath. When you see your dark side, you are inclined to turn away and ignore it. Therefore the power of the light spreads ignorance and fosters conceit.” A Shadowborn called out to the crowd.

At this, the clerics became annoyed. Their tenants prevented them from lashing out at the newcomer, so they tried to continue their teaching, notching up the volume.

::“The power of the light takes away your need! It nourishes the soul and brings out humility!” spoke the first Cleric.
::“The power of the light uproots the lawless, uncovers the corrupt, and frees the grieving!” cried the second Cleric.
::“It effectively hides the sins of the gluttonous, and glorifies the pretentious! Reveals the lawless yes, but who are the lawless? We the tax paying masses forced to hide in the shadows as the light cascades upon the vain and illustrious! They proclaim the light will cast out the shadow, but the light is born by men like these, presumptuous and falsely pious!” the Shadowborn heckled.

The crowd began to mutter amongst each other “Why am I still hidden? I try and try but still I get nowhere.” “Everyone passes by me, there are no coins to spare. I am overwhelmed by the darkness!”
The clerics were growing angry with this blasphemer.
::“Yea, I say to you. You are hidden not because the shadow consumes you, but because the righteous are wicked, and the benefactor the antagonist! So to say the Hero is the Villain! They who bear the light do not bring it to the places that need it. No, instead the shadow must embrace you to give you the edge you rightfully deserve. Yea, the evildoer here is not the darkness or night! Nea, I say to you! It is the penumbral light, casting blackness upon you!” the Shadowborn preached.
::“Blasphemer! You have said enough. That is not at all what the light is. It casts away your lot. With the rising sun you are banishing. See, in this very hall, the essence of your god hides in the corners!” cried the second Cleric.
::“Those dark places here are the confines of your sin, your shallowness, and…” shouted the Shadowborn.
It is at this point the first Cleric of Estridae decided to ignore his tenants and vows, and proceeded to punch the interjecting commenter clear into the streets. There the brawl continued downhill until all three were placed in cells for disorderly conduct in a peaceful quarter.

Followers of Telraedye like to keep things quiet most of the time except when they challenging the teaches of other gods or in street brawls. However this preference for silence comes from the Telraedye himself; as their god waits for the most opportune moment so do his followers. Shadowborn do have prayers to the god of shadows but they prefer to whisper them.

::"For those who are alone on the blackest night."
::"For those who are tired of endless fright."
::"For those who desire peerless might."
::"For those who have lost from wasting blight."
::"Pray to the One who will make it right."
::"The One who watches with darkened sight."
::"The One who shuns all hope and light."
::"Come with us and join his fight."

Appearance
Telraedye takes many forms, appearing briefly as a dark orb drawing darkness from all around before filling the dark spaces with his presence. He can be the shadow at your feet, or the thick cover of night beyond your fire. Sometimes he appears as a shadowy apparition with white eyes that give no light. Rare is it when he assumes the shape of mortals, but when he does it is most often as a human with pure black eyes, a goatee, and black hair tied in a ponytail. He stands wherever a person is casting a shadow.

When the god of Shadows speaks, his voice is smooth as silk with a general’s command. He is not a militant god, choosing to use his followers to carefully subvert, and then convert others. He does not disguise who or what he is however. Any individual encountering the god knows without a doubt that they are in his presence. Often the shadows in an area he is in become so thick that they could be walls. No light source will penetrate them.

Burial Rites
Like Estridae, Telraedye advocated burial in the ground. His reasoning? It’s tidy.

Lineage
Telraedye was the third of the gods to appear from the veil. He appeared just after Estridae burst into light, casting a shadow off of Ambries. Telraedye was responsible for devising a source from which to create Saratta. His inspiration created Demüen and subsequently Balphurus; when he meddled with the chaotic order of the Abyss. Telraedye took responsibility for raising the two fledgling gods.
Krosban Description
I’ve heard druids speak of Moratem, the mighty tree god who towers above the forests, dwarfing the mountains. When He sways the wind is made, blowing across Saratta. When He moves great lakes open and fill, rivers bubble forth from the depths of His roots. His voice is the song of birds, and his embrace is that of a caring father holding a child. The shear reverence they pay to the god of Nature is astounding, but so too are his gifts given to us all.

Portfolio
Nature has as much order within it as it does chaos. Moratem governs the side of order and commands the winds. Wind must blow to spread the seeds just as the river must cut through the ground to reach into the soil. The god of Nature is a keeper of life. It is his duty to ensure that the natural order is followed, that life matures and then dies, and that the cycle is always repeated.

The wind was granted as his to govern, but as turmoil within the ranks of the gods grew to conflict the god of wind was given governance over water as well. After Kantoram was cast from the ranks of the pantheon, Moratem assumed the mantle of the god of nature. Due to his natured order, Moratem rarely interacts with the general world beyond the scope of nature. He stretches his power when the needs of the natural world are concerned. The god of Nature cares very much for the preservation of life within Saratta. He has guided its progress since the beginning.

Followers
The followers of Moratem try to keep as close to the god’s teachings as possible. Druids are the most common follower of the god, cultivating nature slowly but surely. To guide life along the natural course to its final destination is their sworn duty. When that life is threatened, they must react to the threat and prevent it from destroying the natural progression of life. Influences of human kind and industrialization are only some of the enemies of that order.

Druids of Moratem view death only as a last resort, and will do everything in their power to ensure that nature remains unaffected by the changes that any race would place on the environment. When their views cannot be met, they often resort to finding a medium that both parties can live with, but if that fails, the druid is willing to defend the natural order to the death.

Appearance
Moratem appears in the form of a giant tree, taller that the largest of mountains. His presence is not direct, and usually occurs in visions though some reports of seeing the mighty tree swaying as a mirage. Other times the god reveals his being as a human male, unclothed and made entirely of brilliant green vines. His eyes are white as clouds, his voice the streams and breeze, mixed with the whispering of bird songs in Spring.

Burial Rites
Followers of Moratem subject themselves to the will of nature. After they die, they become a vessel for new life. This can be achieved both through burial of ones body, or letting it lie. To burn the body is an affront to the natural order (unless a natural fire should consume it). Quite often a follower of Moratem will plant a tree, shrub or some other kind of plant where the dead body lies. This plant becomes a gravestone for the fallen but represents that life will continue even after death.

Lineage
Moratem is the first of Estridae’s children with Kantoram. Kantoram, the former god of Nature, entrusted a natural aspect to each of his three children. Moratem was given governance over the wind, but when Zamikye left the pantheon during her fallout with Demuen, he was given power over the water as well. Zamikye had other plans though, and focused her fury on the seas, preventing Moratem from taking full control.
While it may take many years for a non gnome to learn all of the Gnomish vocabulary, many gnomes do not nit pick a non gnomes usage of words. This campaign was created and run by User:Tim for the World of Sarrata. It was played in 2008-2009. It encompassed a time line parallel to the Forgotten Light Campaign; beginning during the Summer of 981 Lunidor(LD). This campaign revolved around a group of social misfits and their experiences with the Othar Verdis.

Characters
Player Characters
In many groups the characters all possess a similar quality, in the case of this group it was the inability to fit in normally. While no one was considered normal by any standards it should be noted that almost all the starting characters of this campaign were people that did not fit in with society and decided to adventure out.

Brent - The Ephrynn barbarian and later ranger who could be considered the leader of this cohort. Brent was a forthright, honest and strong person who was able to keep most of these people in line. Despite Brent's lack of mental faculties he actually was one of the wiser people in the party. His main motivation for traveling was to find his lost tribe and start a family as well. He did find a suitable partner and settled down and had children with her. Brent was the one that had started the idea of hunting Verdis. Montblanc nicknamed Brent "Dimples" because of the wide smile Brent possessed.

Montblanc The Bamboozler - the gnomish wizard who was a powerful as he was annoying. He served to be one of the brains of the party next to Loric. He was also undoubtedly one of the funniest people of the party. His motivation for travel was to find material for his new book. Despite the mischief he got into he was a well dependable member of the party when he wasn't drinking. This character was played by User:Helik4888.

Loric - The Male psion on the run from Naltronia. A grandiose man with a grandiose plan. He believed it to be in his inherent nature to rule others and sought a means to do so. He was very much the planner of the party often giving counter points to any insane ideas everyone else came up with. At various points in the game though his own sanity was called into question as he was haunted by nightmares and tried hard to contain the power within him. In one instance he lost control of his power and "exploded" in a burst of psionic disintegrate. While he lost his life as well as the lives of others he was brought back to life. His power grew even more leading up to the battle of Barrier Hold. Where he was a key player in it, unfortunately he lost his life again to a Sun Soul and was not brought back. He was nicknamed Micky because he had big ears.

Nyle - the feisty druid whose catch phrase "I will turn you into a tree once I figure out how" became a defining feature of her. She was a young druid that traveled with her owl whom she never revealed its name. She made her own personal grove in the village of Rosewood, Mishar. She built it on a spring of Life Water which made it grow big and strong but also attracted some unwanted attention. A few blighters took interest in her grove but she defended it against them as well as traded with them. In the party she acted as the healer and eccentric source of common sense. Her strong will and can do attitude is what made her a valuable member of the party. Over the course of the campaign she connected with most of the party in a loving fashion. Her primary reason for hunting Verdis was that he was a threat to the natural world and must be stopped.

Ovak - The Pious Monk of Demüen whose possed strength equal to her devotion. Born a half orc she grew up in a monastery learning about the graces of the Lord of Flame. When she joined the party she seemed to be the most distant from it but eventually became a valuable soldier in the fight against Verdis. She was called Pots by Montblanc initially because she sounded like pots clanging together when she moved. He would later rename her to be Scarecrow because her brain was full of straw. Her main motivations for traveling was perfecting her self for Demüen. She would call upon his great power many times throughout the adventure.
The campaign starts out with our not so heroes getting off a caravan they were put in charge of protecting. They arrived in the small sleepy town of Rosewood, Mishar. Almost immediately the group gets the feeling something is not right with this town. They quickly find out rumors of the dead walking again and a local legend the kamricon haunts the woods. The group encounters many of these undead and quickly put an end to them. The group also makes friends with the local guard and the town gravekeeper. In one of the crypts several of the party members find a spring of life water and the Druid Nyle uses its power to make the plants grow. A paladin by the name of Glarion Unterspike shows up and says he will save the city from the plague of undead that haunts them. In one final battle the group tracks down several kamricon to a small cave outside of town and kill the beasts with the help of Unterspike. Upon inspection of the bodies they find a set of serial numbers. The town of Rosewood celebrates the slaying of the beasts and pays the heroes well. On the day of the celebration however a messenger from a city just north of their calls for heroes to help slay some ghosts.

Hale
The Heroes arrive in the city of Hale to find that the problem was taken care of by Glarion Unterspike when in actuality he was setting it free. Throughout investigation of the town strange occurrences had been happening, children missing, buildings being haunted and violent activity against the villagers. The party investigated many different places throughout the town trying to find out what was causing it. Indeed it appeared to be ghosts as unseen foes tried to both kill and talk with the party members. On the southeast side of town there was an abandoned mansion that Loric took interest in. He and Montblanc "met' of the ghosts their who turned out to be a confused entity that provided little information. In one of the haunted houses the group met a bit more coherent ghost that informed the party that they were experiments and now had lost their physical bodies. The ghost also informed the party that Verdis and a man called the Butcher were violent people who wanted something that was hidden in this town. Using a strange flower fond in the mansion the party got glimpses of the future and past. With this information Montblanc was able to locate a small locked box that contained a red crystal that had a heart beat. While most of the party investigated what was going on around town, Brent had different ideas. He found a women that he immediately took fancy too and wished to court. The party also encountered a person who looked just like Glarion Unterspike and claimed that he himself was Glarion Unterspike. Eventually events in the city caused the party to go to the abandoned mill south of town to confront Verdis and the Butcher and give them the crystal Montblanc found. However the party discovered the crystal was heart of a living city that once existed long ago. The party fought Verdis and the butcher but Verdis got away in the fray.

Synopsis of Plot
Rosewood
The campaign starts out with our not so heroes getting off a caravan they were put in charge of protecting. They arrived in the small sleepy town of Rosewood, Mishar. Almost immediately the group gets the feeling something is not right with this town. They quickly find out rumors of the dead walking again and a local legend the kamricon haunts the woods. The group encounters many of these undead and quickly put an end to them. The group also makes friends with the local guard and the town gravekeeper. On one night the party makes a valiant stand against the mysterious monsters in the village graveyard.
Summary
Montblanc the Bamboozler is a gnome who enjoys books and drinking. He is an accomplished wizard that specializes in Illusion magic. He is one three characters that made it through the entire campaign from start to finish. He has quite the penchant for nicknames often giving them out even if the recipient doesn't want it. Personality wise Montblanc could best be described as an egomaniac with a napoleon complex. He thought himself to be bigger than life or harm this is apparent by his 13 AC. He was incredibly annoying to everyone as he got in everyone's way and made a big fuss. Otherwise he was an easy going individual that was prone to fits of anger when something really pissed him off which was mostly a result of interactions with Verdis. He was a caring individual who would have gladly sacrificed himself for the needs of his friends which he considered everyone to be. His friendly disposition often allowed him to trust others, sometimes to easily.

Appearance
He is tall for a gnome standing about 3'5" and is very stout. He has a healthy looking body though it has gained quite a few scars on his olive skin from his adventures. His most prominent scar is a pair of bite marks on his arm from when Verdis bit him in Hail. His black hair is in an almost constant mess from the simple lack of maintenance. His short robes match his Green eyes because he believes that is the color of illusion magic. He wears the witches hat he got from the witch of hail and treasures the gift greatly. He carries two large staves on his back that are much too tall for him.

Back story
Orphaned at a young age Montblanc never learned his proper family name but was adopted by a kind old Elven couple who ran an orphanage. He grew up in this loving environment and grew to love the world as well as jokes. He developed a sense of racial pride early on in his life. When he was young he was assisted by a nameless mage with great power who saved the life of his human adopted sister, Samantha. At the age of 23 he joined a Naltronian Mage College and studied Illusion magic there. He fell in love with a beauty half elf named Megan. She was tragically killed by a kobold misusing his magical power. His best friend who gave him his handle of Bamboozler was named Barry Ashleaf. the two were good friends till Barry descended into madness and the dark arts. It was because of these two events Montblanc would sacrifice himself easily to those he cared for.

After graduating and becoming a full fledged Illusionist. Montblanc wrote and published a largely unsuccessful novel called "The adventures of Kettle Pots." He never gave up his dream of writing on started to write other books. He joined a merchant caravan and met many new people who would become his friends and comrades in arms.

Verdis Campaign
Montblanc like everyone else started out as protection for a trade caravan that moved into the town of Rosewood. Montblanc helped with the defeat of the Kamrican which turned out to be an experiment. He then moved onto Hail and fought the ghosts of the city which turned out to be experiments of their own. He discovered the shard of Brailheim and kept it to himself till it was stolen from him by Verdis. Things eventually escalated to the battle at Barrier Hold where he played an important part in killing Verdis again as well as stopping the fighting between the two cities. They then tracked Verdis down to the island where Montblanc and the others went into Verdis's prison. He fought his way through and escaped to fight Verdis and his followers. He was the one who caste the final spell against Verdis disintegrating him making sure nothing was left. A fun fact, Montblanc on three occasions fell under Verdis's command of hatred and proceeded to attempt to destroy everything he could.

Montblanc also two decisions that affected the council of mages. The first was the lift on the ban of Necromancy, he believed it was a school that did have merit if used responsibly. The second was the ban on magical travel which stopped magical teleports. Montblanc also spread the story of the party wherever he could as he knew it would help him sell books. During the adventure Montblanc would write chapters in a book he called "the Idiots Guide to Highway Robbery" but it is unknown if he actually did publish that book. Montblanc is also one of the few people that still does not know what is under Nyle's druid Grove.

Items and Magic
Montblanc was an interesting wizard because he used his spells to harm many people as well as create lots of fun. His illusions were primarily used as a supplement magic to make things more fun and as a warning to other people. One thing he liked to do was march into towns with an illusionary dance line of women behind him all doing the thriller dance. He also used Major Image to create giant likenesses of himself to talk to the entire town of Barrier Hold. He also liked to create illusions of himself and run around to confuse his enemies. As far as evocations go he preferred the spells, resilient sphere, chain lighting and cone of cold. Montblanc however didnt believe in using defensive magic because he knew he could prevail over any force that is why he banned Abjuration. Since Necromancy was also a non protected school at the time he saw no reason to learn it so he abandoned learning Necromancy as well.

He only possessed three real magic items during the course of the campaign. The first item was the shard of Brailheim that he found in the mansion in hail. He loved that item as he knew it would grow him the city he always wanted. When it was taken from him he was very sad and wanted revenge against Verdis. The second item he received was the Thorn Staff from the hall of weapons. He used it only a few times but mostly liked it because it looked cool. The third item was the magical staff Creedis that spoke to its wielder, its previous owner Micky died in Barrier Hold and Montblanc took his staff as his memory of him. He greatly enjoyed having the staff not only because of its magical effects but because it was as narcissistic as Montblanc was.

After Verdis
With Verdis Defeated Montblanc went back to his passion of writing. He published his second book "The Taming of the Snake" which was a recounted story of his adventure from start to finish. He gave everyone their proper dues in his story, thanking them all for the great adventure. Since he enjoyed being in the village of Rosewood so much he decided to move there permanently and stay with Mak and Nile. He then published several more books both on magical theory pertaining to Illusion magics. He eventually settled down and started a family, with a gnome named Merlina, they went on to have 4 children named Brent, Ovak, Loric, and Nyle.

Relations with other Characters
Soveliss - When Soveliss joined the group, Montblanc was like will all people initially trusting and intrigued by this new character that was associating with the party. After he found out what Solveliss was really, he really was intrigued by him. To Montblanc Soveliss was a dear companion that he enjoyed being around. He even on occasion offered the vampire his own blood when Soveliss was in desperate need. It was quite enjoyable to see him rise up and become a celestial creature but was very sad to see him leave, however it was not unexpected.

Brent - The relationship between Brent and Montblanc was an odd one to say at the best. Montblanc admired Brent for his Can-do attitude and his massive strength. He referred to Brent as "Dimples" because of the toothy smile the giant had. He like to ride on Brent's back and braid his hair when he could. He enjoyed being around the simple creature because it offered a counterpoint to his own intelligence. Brent was also one of the only people Montblanc would listen too just because he trusted in Brent's keen observations and the ability to make everyone shut up. He understood Brent's desire to stay behind and raise a family and was happy for him.

Ovak - The one initially called pots because she moved around like clanking pots. This nickname was later changed to Scarecrow because she acted like a scarecrow, no brains. The two of them had a love hate relationship because they annoyed each other to no end. Montblanc thought she depended to much on divine intervention and could do things for herself. He did enjoy her determination and willingness to get things done. The crowning achievement of their relationship was when Montblanc used a dream spell to give her a sex dream about the two of them. Since then the two of them have learned to understand each other to small extent.

Nyle - The beloved druid of the party, Nyle held a special place in Montblanc's heart. he treated her as a friend and as a little sister looking after her and taking care of her. He greatly enjoyed her company and likes being in her grove. He calls her leafy because she is very much like a leaf, just plain awesome. He also gave her owl a nickname because she refused to tell anyone its real name so it became, Wingsly. Montblanc just simple adored being around her and her bubbly personality as it reminded him of himself.

Loric - The Psion who you couldn't keep down. Montblanc enjoyed his company arguably the most because he found a kindred spirit in Lorek of his vast want and desire. Lorek was honest to a certain degree and what he was honest about was usually the thing that made him an asshole to everyone. Montblanc looked to him for being the one true link of sanity in this party even when his sanity was called into question. He called him Micky because his ears were big like mouse's. He was extremely angry when Loric was killed and took up his mantle as being the smart one in the party. Montblanc carries Creedis with him as his token to the memory of Loric.

Cyrus - The short lived companionship with Cyrus was one that Montblanc does regret. He thought Cyrus to be distant and unapproachable then he found out what he really was and that explained everything. Montblanc wanted to get to know Cyrus but the adventure and personal feelings kept the two from developing anything more than just comrades. He called him Scales after he found out that he was an Othar.

Ivelios - The clever and sneaky Ilvelios was a person Montblanc thought was intriguing because of his infinite resourcefulness. His approach to the party is what brought Montblanc to believe he is a nice guy, also it helped that he stroked Montblanc's ego. Montblanc liked Ivelios's eye for strategy and his vast number of skills. Montblanc considered Ivelios his secret weapon because he always knew that there was something up his sleeve.

Mak - Mak is the kindly old gentlemen that lives in Rosewood. He is Montblanc's supplier of alcohol and a damn good one at that as well. Montblanc enjoys the old man's company and his spirits. Montblanc gave him much money for his home brews and started a Bar with him. After the campaign ended he lived with Mak for a short time before his own house could be built.

Brian hasn't played DnD for very long but has taken a great liking to it. He did in middle school play a short lived 2nd edition game which introduced him to the great awesomeness of DnD but did not resume playing till much later in his life. In the Summer of 2007 Brian and his friends started a campaign on whim to try it and they got really into it. While their first adventure was pretty bad as the most experienced player at the time was the DM everyone quickly got a hold of it. Brian after about month of playing his friends campaign started his own and thus began his career as DM. He has played with a few groups since then and has enjoyed all his experiences.

When it was taken from him he was very sad and wanted revenge against Vertis.

After Vertis
With Vertis Defeated Montblanc went back to his passion of writing. He eventually settled down and started a family, with a gnome named Merlina, they went on to have 4 children named Brent, Ovak, Lorek, and Nyle.

Lorek - The Psion who you couldn't keep down. Montblanc enjoyed his company arguably the most because he found a kindred spirit in Lorek of his vast want and desire. Lorek was honest to a certian degree and what he was honest about was usually the thing that made him an asshole to everyone. Montblanc looked to him for being the one true link of sanity in this party even when his sanity was called into question. He called him Micky because his ears were big like mouse's. He was extremely angry when Lorek was killed and took up his mantle as being the smart one in the party. Montblanc carries Creedis with him as his token to the memory of Lorek

Cyrus -

Mak - Mak is the kindly old gentlemen that lives in Rosewood. He is Montblanc's supplier of alcohol and a damn good one at that as well. Montblanc enjoys the old man's company and his spirits. Montblanc gave him much money for his home brews and started a Bar with him. After the campaign ended he lived with Mak for a short time before his own house could be built.

He thought himself to be bigger than life or harm this apparent by his 13 AC. He was incredibly annoying to everyone as he got in everyone's way and made a big fuss. Otherwise he was an easy going individual that was prone to fits of anger when something really pissed him off which was mostly a result of interactions with Vertis.

His most prominent scar is a pair of bite marks on his arm from when Vertis bit him in Hail.

Vertis Campaign
Montblanc like everyone else started out as protection for a trade caravan that moved into the town of Rosewood. Montblanc helped with the defeat of the Kamrican which turned out to be an experiment. He then moved onto Hail and fought the ghosts of the city which turned out to be experiments of their own. He discovered the shard of Brailheim and kept it to himself till it was stolen from him by Vertis. Things eventually escalated to the battle at Barrier Hold where he played an important part in killing Vertis again as well as stopping the fighting between the two cities. They then tracked Vertis down to the island where Montblanc and the others went into Vertis's prison. He fought his way through and escaped to fight Vertis and his followers. He was the one who caste the final spell against Vertis disintegrating him making sure nothing was left. A fun fact, Montblanc on three occasions fell under Vertis's command of hatred and proceeded to attempt to destroy everything he could.

His most prominent scar is a pair of bite marks on his arm from when Vertis bit him in Hail. His black hair is in an almost constant mess from the simple lack of maintenance. His short robes match his Green eyes because he believes that is the color of illusion magic. He wears the witches hat he got from the witch of hail and treasures the gift greatly. He carries two large staves on his back that are much too tall for him.

Back story
Vertis Campaign

When it was taken from him he was very sad and wanted revenge against Vertis.

After Vertis
With Vertis Defeated Montblanc went back to his passion of writing. He published his second book "The Taming of the Snake" which was a recounted story of his adventure from start to finish. He gave everyone their proper dues in his story, thanking them all for the great adventure. Since he enjoyed being in the village of Rosewood so much he decided to move there permantly and stay with Mak and Nile. He then published several more books both on magical theory pertaining to Illusion magics. He eventually settled down and started a family, with a gnome named Merlina, they went on to have 4 children named Brent, Ovak, Micky, and Nile.

Nile -

Micky -

Mak - Mak is the kindly old gentlemen that lives in Rosewood. He is Montblanc's supplier of alcohol and a damn good one at that as well. Montblanc enjoys the old man's company and his spirits. Montblanc gave him much money for his home brews and started a Bar with him. After the campaign ended he lived with Mak for a short time before his own house could be built.
