Summary

Nyle Purpleflower, the Dryad, Guardian of the Grave Copse, Defender of Man, Stalker of Serpents, Keeper of Lilies. Nyle is whispered in Legend and song by those who pass into the Northern realm of Mishar. She is said to be timeless, kept alive by magical waters that are said to cure all ailments, including the passage of time. She began adventuring when she was 58 years old and is largely regarded as a force of good. The people of Rosewood those who would trespass against her to beware, this lovely druidess has little patience for shenanigans and will entomb them within the trees themselves, doomed to live forever beneath quailing leaves.

Appearance and Demeanor

Nyle has bright emerald eyes and rich brown hair. Her figure is petite, standing 5 feet tall. In her hands she holds a staff of seamlessly woven wood and wears a dark brown leather jerkin, pressed to look like the hide of nearby trees. The longer she stands near a tree, the more she appears to simply be part of it, lending further proof to the claims that she is a dryad.

Nyle is quite and reserved. When directly spoken with she is typically pleasant, but makes it clear that she has little patience for foolishness. Those who are familiar with her say her most common threat is to turn a person into a tree.

Nyle is well versed in multiple languages and is able to commune fluently with humans, elves, orcs, gnomes, birds and plants.

Exploits

Nyle was one of a handful responsible for hunting down a fugitive of Naltronia called Verdis.

She helped to restore order at Dantis and New Arim temporarily preventing the outbreak of war between Naltronia and Arambashia.

She found and grew a Chronolily that she believes is one of the last remaining. Her possession of the flower is not widely known.

Nyle claimed the Grave Copse of Rosewood as her personal druid's grove. When she first found it, it was little more than a graveyard for a small village. During her adventures, she and her companions discovered a well of magical water beneath a crypt within the graveyard. The waters held such power that Nyle chose to dedicate herself to protecting it. She woken the surrounding trees to serve as defenders and the area is now a thick timber fortress. Some claim that the vines around the Copse even drink the blood of those who assault it. Attempts have been made to get beyond the groves defenses, but if the tales are to be believed, none have ever returned.

The people of Rosewood see Nyle of a healer and friend. She is a valued ally and one they are more than happy to shower with gifts.

Nyle turned away a group of druids who came to her grove because they brought The Curse of the Fang with them. She did this to best protect those around her, and more importantly protect her grove.

Unique Possessions

Nyle took a vow of minimalism. She prefers not to live in poverty, but would prefer not to have many physical possessions. As such, the few truly unique things she has are plants, several of which do not naturally grow in Mishar, a testament to her druidic prowess.

Chronolily: A large lily that pools water at its center. The plant that is said to allow one to peer through Time depending on the color of its petals.
Firethorn: An uncommon Rose found in the Isles region (Tsol'Venim). This stunningly vibrant orange and red rose possesses a potent neurotoxin in the glands of its thorns. The toxin can cause debilitating paralysis, and even death.
Bloodvine: Another Isles species, found around Halim'Ra and Ordinth Caphil. Bloodvine is able to sense nearby prey, coiling around it and draining blood. Most of Nyle's bloodvine are Awoken, possessing a level of sentience allowing it to act on verbal commands.
