White Spire Consulate Seat: Markus Telraed III

Founder: Slovien Telraed

Founding Date: 769 LD.

Location: Foriedy, Ordinth Caphil.

Mission: Grow the entertainment venues of Foriedy through schooling and investment. New mediums are to be encouraged, especially if they prove profitable.

Overview: As one of the three remaining Great Houses on Foriedy, Telraed has done its best to dig itself into the many facets of the Island in order to maintain its control. Most noticeable is the House’s vice grip on the entertainment industry. Over the years it has reformed entertaining tropes and small entertainers into wide ranging guilds and very successful organizations. Their influences stretches beyond music and lyrical entertainers and into the realm of Rest Houses (brothels), schools, and less known illegal fighting rings (which are kept on the downlow).

Telraed members tend to live life very extravagantly. They are a like minded group of art collectors, party hosts with some magical talent, and social butterflies with the gift of gab. They live the lives of nobles better than any House on the Island, playing host for great balls and hedonistic parties put on for the wealthy on the island. The poor look up to them as a symbol of hope; that hard work and talent will earn anyone on Foriedy a name for themselves.

It’s position as a symbol of hope is often unwritten when the rumors that surround the house are brought to light however. It is believed by many that the house and its founding family have close ties to the god of Shadows (Telraedye) in more than just name. The rumors speak that the most famous of the Island have struck deals with the dark gods for fame and fortune, and after they are given their moment in the spotlight they are called to pay back their debts with their lives. Everyone has a family member, who has a friend, who knows an innkeeper that saw something like this happen. No real evidence has ever arisen, but those who have gone seeking a connection never return quite the same.
