Overview The Folswell family came to Foriedy from Naltronia seeking too keep their fortune rather than lose it to the country’s strict laws. That money immediately went to securing a mansion in the Spire District and was poured into a seemingly endless flow of wine, parties, and social events. Hedonism is their king. Gossip, drinks, food, and sex are in abundance at their events, and everyone invited is expected to partake.

It is widely believed that House Folswell gains money through blackmail. They don’t seem to bring trade to the Island and have only a handful of “party boats” at their disposal, unlike the large fleets of cargo ships held by other houses. Few family members even leave the Island, which has spread further rumors both good and bad about the house. They seem to delight in the attention and have made no efforts to prevent their spread.

Secrets are the true trade of House Folswell, which they guard well and wield ruthlessly. No one group has managed to dig up any lasting dirt on the House, if any really exists. What is certain is that the house is able to sway the favor of Consulate votes. When they decide to become invested in something it becomes everyone’s interest and the same can be said when they don’t approve.

In all the House’s actions have never endangered the Island so far as it’s citizens can tell, and they have been allowed to continue for better or worse so long as they maintain their contribution to the Vault of Sacrifice.
