Language
Gnomish is a language based in descriptions. Gnomes have at least 10 different words for a single thing, and each of these words describe a slightly different aspect about that single thing. It is because of this robust vocabulary that gnomish is often used as a language of science and technology. Scholars like to use the gnomish language when describing events and ideas other cultures possess. While it may take many years for a non gnome to learn all of the Gnomish vocabulary, many gnomes do not nit pick a non gnomes usage of words. The scripting of the the language is similar to dwarven using runes and other pictographs to denote ideas and concepts.
